Computationally sound analysis of protocols using bilinear pairings

چکیده
In this paper, we introduce a symbolic model to analyse protocols that use a bilinear pairing between two cyclic groups. This model consists in an extension of the Abadi-Rogaway logic and we prove that the logic is still computationally sound: symbolic indistinguishability implies computational indistinguishability provided that the Bilinear Decisional DiffieHellman assumption holds and that the encryption scheme is IND-CPA secure. We illustrate our results on classical protocols using bilinear pairing like Joux tripartite Diffie-Hellman protocol or the TAK-2 and TAK-3 protocols. We also investigate the security of a newly designed variant of the Burmester-Desmedt protocol using bilinear pairings. More precisely, we show for each of these protocols that the generated key is indistinguishable from a random element.

Computationally sound symbolic security reduction analysis of the group key exchange protocols using bilinear pairings
Canetti and Herzog have proposed a universally composable symbolic analysis (UCSA) of mutual authentication and key exchange protocols within universally composable security framework. It is fully automated and computationally sound symbolic analysis. Furthermore, Canetti and Gajek have analyzed Diffie-Hellman based key exchange protocols as an extension of their work. It deals with forward sec...
متن کاملZero-knowledge Group Identification and Hidden Group Signature for Smart Cards Using Bilinear Pairings
In this paper, we propose a new blind group identification protocol and a hidden group signature protocol as its application. These protocols involve many provers and one verifier such that (1) the statement of all the provers are proved simultaneously, (2) and also all the provers using computationally limited devices (e.g. smart cards) have no need of computing the bilinear pairings, (3) but ...
متن کاملCryptanalysis of a New Efficient Authenticated Multiple-Key Exchange Protocol from Bilinear Pairings
The main goal of this paper is to analyze the security of a multiple-key agreement protocol and to show that this protocol is vulnerable to forgery attack. In order to address the security weakness, a new efficient multiple-key agreement protocol is proposed. The proposed protocol is based on bilinear pairings and utilizes a novel signature scheme without one-way hash functions. In contrast to ...
متن کاملKnapsack Diffie-Hellman: A New Family of Diffie-Hellman
Diffie-Hellman problems have been widely involved in the design of various cryptographic protocols. Its general family is based on the discrete logarithm over a finite field. Since 2000, its another family which is based on elliptic curve discrete logarithm as well as bilinear pairing, e.g. Weil or Tate pairing, has been attracted significant studies. Thereafter, various cryptographic protocols...
متن کاملAn Introduction to Pairing-Based Cryptography
Bilinear pairings have been used to design ingenious protocols for such tasks as one-round three-party key agreement, identity-based encryption, and aggregate signatures. Suitable bilinear pairings can be constructed from the Tate pairing for specially chosen elliptic curves. This article gives an introduction to the protocols, Tate pairing computation, and curve selection.
